The Centralina Workforce Development Board (WDB) is proud to introduce the new Centralina WDB Mobile Application for Android and iPhone users. This app was developed to provide a central location for users to access employment services provided by the Centralina WDB and NCWorks Career Centers. The app serves as a central point of information for workforce development services including hiring events, workshops, employer services, event details and career assessments.

To that end, Centralina is pleased to announce that we are embarking on a five-year review of our regionâs groundbreaking growth plan, CONNECT Our Future. Over the next months, we will be evaluating accomplishments and highlighting data and local and regional successes for the purpose of informing our future priorities.
Did We CONNECT Our Future? Transportation Part 1: Looking Back
Several priorities for the CONNECT Our Future initiative related to transportation, namely increasing transportation choices (modes), reducing commute costs (transportation technologies and land use) and improving air quality (emissions). On June 9th, the Centralina Executive Board approved the organizationâs workplan for the upcoming fiscal year. Article five in the CONNECT Our Future series focuses on topics associated with community health, namely on the relationship between community health and city and regional planning. It highlights several priorities from CONNECT Our Future and their foundational support for independent work completed by health care officials, non-profit organizations, businesses, government officials, philanthropists and community members to improve individual well-being and community health throughout the region.
