For the first time since 2019, Centralina Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is hosting an in-person conference for aging service providers and professionals across the region! Aging professionals all experience ups and downs when it comes to programmatic service and delivery. Sometimes the hurdles encountered are difficult to overcome and extra support, like time and funds, are needed. This year’s conference theme, Tackling Aging, will empower attendees to conquer these obstacles and provide quality service to older adults efficiently and effectively.
Kicking off the conference is Brad Allen, an experienced referee in the NFL. When he isn’t on the field, Brad serves as the president and executive director of North Carolina Senior Games, Inc., a statewide health promotion and wellness program for persons 50 years of age and better.
Some topics to be covered during the conference include intergenerational partnerships, disability rights and resources, scam awareness and much more.
Centralina AAA is a leader in the field of aging adult services and hopes to use this conference as an opportunity to inspire others in the community to continue championing the rights of older adults and find ways to ever-improve their service.

About Centralina AAA
The demographics of our region’s older adult population are changing in terms of size, diversity and needs. There are now more North Carolinians over the age of 60 than under the age of 18, with over two million older adults over the age of 65 residing in our state. Many of these older adults want to stay in their communities and in their own home for as long as possible.
Centralina Area Agency on Aging (AAA) strives to support and improve the quality of life for older and disabled adults, their families and caregivers throughout our nine-county region. By offering direct services, programming, planning and technical assistance, Centralina AAA helps residents age with choice, dignity and independence.
