The Next Three Years: Centralina Adopts New Strategic Plan
Our FY26-28 Strategic Plan update was informed by robust internal and external engagement. This engagement yielded several key themes, like expanding local support and capacity building for implementing regional plans, enhancing programs that connect leaders from across the region and prioritizing relationship building.

CONNECT Beyond Regional Mobility Plan
CONNECT Beyond is a bold regional mobility plan that sets the vision for how to better connect the rural, suburban, and urban communities in our 12-county region. This plan will guide and coordinate future mobility investments for the next two decades and serve as a blueprint for implementing a robust, integrated public transit network that will combine high-capacity transit lines, enhanced bus services, local mobility options and innovative transportation technologies.
Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) 2023 – 2028
The region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a five-year strategy that guides priorities for economic development and outlines a coordinated growth approach that builds on the region’s strengths, addresses barriers to future growth, prioritizes key regional industry clusters and emphasizes collaboration.
Intergovernmental Action Plans
Centralina acts as an advocate for key issues and opportunities within our region at the state and federal levels. Strategic Plan and Workplan
Over the last year, we developed a three-year strategic plan that will serve as a roadmap for organizational growth and fiscal stability in service of our mission. The plan was informed by robust engagement with our staff, Board and regional stakeholders, including the 2021 Regional Dialogue Series that aimed to understand changes in Centralina communities since the pandemic and explore opportunities for regional collaboration.
Regional Freight Mobility Plan
To stay economically competitive, our region’s economy must have a dependable, multi-modal freight transportation network to efficiently and reliably move raw materials and finished products that consumers and industries need. This network supports the region’s economic growth, fosters job creation and helps create improved outcomes for individuals as well as the public and private sector.
