FEMA Public Assistance Financial Preparedness Program

In bolstering pre-disaster resiliency, mitigation and post-disaster recovery efforts, local governments must be proficient in effectively managing public assistance dollars. NC Association of Regional Councils of Governments and Centralina Regional Council offers this training package to provide the foundation of your disaster recovery training programs.

The program is adaptable to address specific nuances to geography and organizational structure, among other challenges, to ensure all requirements of the public assistance process are met for your locality in a timely and efficient manner. The training specifically covers:

1. How to secure disaster recovery funds to ensure they address local and regional priorities.
2. How to build and maintain necessary financial systems and staff support to administer and efficiently report disaster recovery funds utilization.
3. Incorporate recovery staffing and business practices into day-to-day financial administration operations.
