She is certified as a Lead Trainer for A Matter of Balance and a Master Trainer for Living Healthy, Living Healthy with Diabetes, Living Healthy with Chronic Pain and Building Better Caregivers. Her work reflects extensive experience administering federal and state funds and ensuring programs meet regulatory requirements while remaining responsive to community needs.
Inspired to pursue a career in aging services through her family’s caregiving experiences with her grandparents, Katie remains deeply committed to supporting older adults and those who care for them. She holds a Master’s degree in Gerontology from UNC Charlotte, a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
