This impactful session focuses on Climate & Sustainability Planning and how communities across the greater Charlotte region can leverage federal funding to boost local infrastructure projects, enhance economic vitality and improve quality of life. This session focuses heavily on the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant program available under the US EPA.
Viewers will learn how to get involved in the Centralina-led effort to develop a Priority Climate Action Plan for our region, which enables local governments to apply for $4.6 billion in grant funding to implement local projects for efficient infrastructure and buildings, energy and waste management systems and transportation and mobility systems. Viewers will also learn about fast-approaching deadlines they can be involved in, ways to ensure local interests are reflected at the regional level, and can gain insights on preparing projects to be competitive for this historic federal funding.
