NC 73 Council of Planning

The CCOG led an innovative study of the NC 73 corridor from Lincolnton to Kannapolis, resulting in the NC 73 Transportation and Land Use Plan. This plan stipulated that a “Council of Planning” (COP) would be established to facilitate peer review of plans along the corridor, as well as allow for joint advocacy of projects that cross planning boundaries. The CCOG has staffed this organization since its inception in 2005. The group currently meets three times a year.
