An App for Workforce Development? Now, You Have It!
The Centralina Workforce Development Board (WDB) is proud to introduce the new Centralina WDB Mobile Application for Android and iPhone users. This app was developed to provide a central location for users to access employment services provided by the Centralina WDB and NCWorks Career Centers. The app serves as a central point of information for workforce development services including hiring events, workshops, employer services, event details and career assessments.
CLT’s EV Bus Fleet Wins Clean Cities Award
In March 2022, Centralina awarded the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) Electric Vehicle (EV) Bus Fleet the Clean Cities Award. The CLT EV Bus Fleet provides sustainable solutions to employees, tenants, passengers, the local community and region.
Centralina Launches New Peer Learning Opportunity for Smaller Communities
In response to the unique needs of smaller communities throughout the region, Centralina has launched a new member services initiative, Small Towns Thrive. This program provides direct technical services, education and peer learning opportunities for smaller municipalities

2021 NCWorks Partnership Conference
The year 2020 made for a challenging and unique year for all, but NCWorks was determined to move into 2021 with optimism and hope. Yearning for normalcy, everyone was committed to coming together virtually for the annual NCWorks Partnership Conference, which was held virtually October 12-22, 2021. The theme was “NC Strong: Our Story of Resilience” and we were proud that Centralina Workforce Development Board Executive Director David Hollars and NextGen Specialist Solomon McAuley were selected as speakers.
